RT 363 Radio Show: The College Godfather

For my Audio Production course, we had to make a 30 minute radio show of anything of our choice. For our target audience, we were going for college students ages 18-24 who enjoy the Godfather. My group partner wanted to do his take of a fictional spin of "The Godfather" and make the humor relatable to college students. We came up with a 30 minute piece called, "The College Godfather." This radio comedy is about the story of a Leo Corleone's (the narrator) father, Don Jeano-Corleone. The narrator describes his father and what kind of a man he is. This fictional piece features the many different voices of college student Jairus Campbell. The content of this story kind of spun out of control and was all over the place, but the point of this radio show was to experiment with different voices.
For the commercial breaks, we decided to add some more humor to the piece by adding random pieces that we have recorded for this class over the past semester. Some random former projects include two fictional concert promos, "Jairus Campbell's Sexy Fest" (written and recorded by Jairus) and "Rihanna's Diamonds World Tour" (written and recorded by myself, Annie).
Also a comedy skit, is classmate Tim Harkovich included in a "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" radio spin off, "Scenes from a Hat" voiced by Tim, Jairus and myself.
Two brand new PSA's written and voiced by myself, (Annie) include SIU's Student Center and Morris Library (which really exist on SIUC's campus!). "That 90s Show" liner is a short promo for an actual radio show that I started on WIDB, the Student Run Radio Station on campus. This show is current and still airs on WIDB weekly.
I hope you enjoy this random yet hilarious 30 minute comedy show!!!! I had a pleasure working with Jairus and sound mixing the piece. :)
